The Dartmoor Dash: A Thrilling Driving Adventure

There’s nothing quite like an exhilarating driving tour to chase away the winter chill, and our latest event, The Dartmoor Dash, was a perfect example. With a lineup of stunning supercars, breathtaking scenery, and camaraderie among automotive enthusiasts, it was a day to remember.

The Start of the Journey

We kicked off the day just outside Yeovil, where our group gathered to fuel up—both the cars and ourselves—for the adventure ahead. Despite the frosty morning air, spirits were high as we prepared to hit the road.

Our first stop was at Ventrax Motorsport, renowned specialists in performance and track cars. Jamie and Kieran, the masterminds behind Ventrax, made sure we were well taken care of. A charming Airstream trailer served up hot coffee and bacon rolls, a welcome treat as we explored the premises.

Although we couldn’t access the workshop due to their newly laid resin floor still curing in the cold, it didn’t dampen the mood. Catching up with fellow enthusiasts and taking in the impressive surroundings made for a great start to the day.

The Dash Begins

With our pre-planned and rigorously tested route loaded into navigation systems, the real adventure began. As we cruised down the motorway, our convoy of elegant supercars and prestige vehicles inevitably turned heads. We even caught the watchful eye of Devon Traffic Officers. But thanks to team radios and disciplined driving, we avoided any unwelcome stops!

Challenges and Adaptations

As we approached the outskirts of Dartmoor, a minor hiccup added an unexpected twist. Our media vehicle decided it was time to go into limp mode. But Charlie from CSM Media didn’t let that slow him down. He quickly adapted, capturing incredible footage from the passenger seat of a Ferrari 488 Pista. A challenge turned into an upgrade—certainly not a bad view for a day’s work!

Bellever Forest: A Scenic Stop

The next planned stop was the picturesque Bellever Forest, which offered an incredible opportunity to pause and appreciate the rugged, Scotland-like scenery. Our collection of supercars looked perfectly at home against the backdrop of rolling hills and dense woodland.

For half an hour, we soaked in the views, snapped photos, and swapped stories before hitting the road again. The scenery alone made this stop a highlight.

The Grand Finale

The day concluded with a touch of elegance at the Exeter Golf & Country Club, where 34 of us gathered to enjoy a well-deserved two-course meal. After hours of thrilling driving, this was the perfect way to wind down.
